Jollymama pregnancy recipe

We've been leafing through the Jolly Mama brand's recipe book... and here are our two fresh summer favorites

Summer is here. And whether you're pregnant, postpartum, or simply listening to your body, this season sometimes rhymes with heavy legs , loss of appetite , or lack of hydration . So at Monjour, we wanted to explore new delicious and beneficial ideas, designed to accompany all women, at every stage of their lives.

We were curious to discover the Jolly Mama recipe book , created by pregnancy and postpartum specialists. And we can tell you: we were won over . The Monjour team leafed through it, tested it… and savored it!

This book is a concentrate of colors, well-being, attention, and nutrients. It contains simple, seasonal recipes designed to nourish the body and soothe everyday aches and pains. Today, we're sharing our two favorite recipes , perfect for hot days, mild cravings, or moments of comfort.

Carpaccio “light legs” – freshness that gets you going

This ultra-fresh dish won us over with its simplicity... and its superpowers! Ideal for expectant mothers in their third trimester, or anyone prone to the sensation of heavy legs.

The ingredients:

  • 1 beetroot

  • raw or cooked

  • 1 grapefruit (supreme + juice)

  • 1 handful of pomegranate seeds

  • ½ red onion

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • A few parsley leaves

Why we love it:

  • Grapefruit and pomegranate are rich in flavonoids, which strengthen blood vessels.

  • Beetroot , full of natural nitrates, supports circulation and oxygenation of tissues.

  • It's a raw, vitamin-packed dish that's quick to prepare: a concentrate of energy and freshness.

A perfect recipe for a light, easy treat and to give tired legs a boost !

Anti-nausea ice cream – the sweetness that soothes

The name alone makes you want to try it, right? These homemade ice creams are a frozen comfort designed for the early stages of pregnancy, which are often accompanied by nausea. But they'll also delight any palate looking for something sweet and refreshing.

The ingredients:

  • 1/2 lime

  • 200 g pineapple

  • 1 banana

  • 200 ml coconut cream

  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger (about 5 g)

Why we love it:

  • Ginger is known to naturally relieve nausea.

  • Vitamin B6 in bananas helps regulate the nervous system.

  • In stick format, it's practical, fun and fresh , to keep in the freezer for those little energy dips.

A real frosty hug for the body , to be enjoyed in the morning or as a snack.

A kitchen designed for women

What we love about this book is its caring and intuitive approach . The recipes are categorized by trimester , with ingredients selected for their targeted benefits: digestion, energy, hydration, morale, skin elasticity , etc.

And above all, always this desire to do things simply, well, and nourishingly.
Because eating well is already taking care of yourself . And at Monjour, we strongly believe in that.
