In Maud's bathroom

Maud is a journalist and photographer for the press and publishing, with a predilection for travel and lifestyle subjects in general. When it is up, she leaves Canada with her husband Scott, she chooses to get closer to her family and they opt for the Paris region. They leave behind an old and dark apartment in Toronto, which was on the ground floor, and are immediately seduced by this modern apartment, in height, bathed in light, surrounded by greenery. They will be the very first inhabitants! Now a mother of a little Orson, Maud opens the doors to her bathroom and details their care routine.

What needs should the bathroom meet?

It’s a central room with us, we spend a lot of time with Orson. The bathroom is a room where hygiene and comfort are essential and that tends to quickly age and damage ancient housing. So the fact that we had just putting our suitcases, that it was modern and functional and that we are the first occupants of the place, it was a big plus for us. Beyond being clean and healthy, I expect a bathroom that it is functional. Here we have a lot of storage and everything at hand when we change Orson on his changing table.

What are the assets of your bathroom?

She has a large picture window so she is very bright. A huge mirror dresses a whole section of wall, which plays on the light and the feeling of magnitude, of opening the room. And then, it's very practical to make up! The double basin furniture allows us to prepare Scott and I at the same time, without hindering us. And then the final significant asset: toilets and bathroom is separated!

His small flaws?

It is not very tall, even if it is well thought out. New, it inevitably lacks a little charm! And as we are tenants, we have made few changes and have little personalized it. I have around the sinks our most beautiful beauty products… They somehow act as a decor!

What is the routine set up with Orson?

When I change Orson, I systematically clean it with water and Body & hair washing gel 2 in 1 biolane. I will apply liniment only when the buttocks are irritated because it adds a protective layer. To hydrate your skin, I pour a few drops of sweet almond oil in its bath and then use a moisturizer, the same for the whole family, much more practical. When I see that he is disturbed by his belly, that he suffers from colic, I make him small massages. For this, the Magic oil jelly has a perfect texture: it does not penetrate too quickly to have time to massage but is very light and fluid. The skin does not remain sticky after use. And the perfume is very soft and pleasant. We sometimes finish by vaporizing a little of scent water With its personalized, too cute bottle. It’s really appreciable to have a perfume for toddians with clean composition, Note 100/100 on yuka. And I recognize that I really like its very soft and pleasant smell, I often prick it!

And on your side, which beauty routine and care have you adopted?

I have always paid attention to the composition of the products I use, but it is even more true since my pregnancy. My products are all organic, mainly without perfume.
In the morning, I simply clean my face in the water then I apply the Balanting day cream to wild thought signed Laboté. I then chain with makeup: powder for the complexion, a little blush on the cheeks. Then, depending on my desires and the opportunities, for the day or to go out, I alternate with two of the organic Warm Nude pallets from Ilia Beauty. These are eyeshadows that apply both dry and humid but which can also make up the lips and cheeks. A three in a very practical to slip into your bag for an express retouching throughout the day, wherever you are! I am faithful to Ilia for mascara and lip balm. And in the evening, after a double makeup removal with cleaning milk and cleansing oil, I hydrate my face with the Soothing and nourishing moisturizer Monjour : She has a great texture that is easily spread out and does not stick.
